The context
The Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), formerly OISC, had recently rebranded and required a campaign to drive awareness of their free online tool. The tool allows users to check whether their immigration adviser is officially registered.
The campaign responds to an ongoing issue of unregistered and unqualified advisers offering services that are not in the best interests of those seeking advice. It aims to promote best practice when sourcing support, while positioning the IAA as the trusted, go-to resource for verification.
The contributors
My role on this project focused on the development and delivery of a 30 second TV advert, which acted as the master asset for the wider campaign. This was later adapted into a 15 second cut for social.
Working closely with the creative team at Four Agency Worldwide, the project was led by Laura Luck, Creative Director, with Rhiannon Boswell, Senior Designer, defining the visual style and character illustrations. Laura developed the script, which I translated into a storyboard before taking it through to final execution.
I also attended the voiceover session with Forever Audio, where I supported Laura in the direction and timing in response to the edit. Forever Audio produced the final audio for the TV advert, while I implemented sound effects and music for the social cuts.
The brief
Create a 30 second animated TV advert, along with 15 second social cuts, that directs immigration advice seekers to the IAA’s free checking tool. The narrative should follow a clear structure, presenting a question or problem, reflecting current behaviours, and resolving with a simple, actionable solution.
